JWill grabs Co-Rookie of the Week Honors

La Salle freshman forward Jerrell Williams has been named Co-Rookie of the week by the Atlantic 10 Conference sharing the award with Duquesne's Damian Saunders.

Is a season of struggle and disappointment La Salle's freshman forward Jerrell Williams has shown glimpses of what is to come for Explorer fans. After a 12 point and 5 rebound performance in a 71-58 loss to Villanova last night he was named Co-Rookie of the Week by the A-10 this morning.

Williams came to La Salle highly touted from Northfield Mt. Hermon Academy via Patterson Catholic in New Jersey. He has scored in double-digits six times this season including a career high 20 points Puerto Rico-Mayaguez and has also recorded a double-double twice.
