Evans chooses St. John's

Northeast High School product Sean Evans has committed to the St. John's Red Storm at a morning press conference today.

Sean Evans, had been watched by the La Salle coaching staff all season and while it looked like the Explorers were going to pass on the 6"7 power forward, indications are La Salle was still interested in Evans until the end. In fact, only a couple of weeks ago it appeared Evans was possibly headed to prep school. But an offer from the Red Storm has appeared to change his mind.

Evans, the 6th leading scorer in the city of Philadelphia, chose the Red Storm over interest from La Salle, Temple, and St. Bonaventure among others.
